For some reason, to use my Yamaha PSR-280 keyboard with Garageband, the lead marked in goes IN the socket marked OUT on the keyboard (and vice versa). The opposite of what you might think. Then it works just fine. But it took me an hour of messing around to discover this

You'll need this if you buy any Yamaha Midi equipment and want to connect to a computer to download the promised files from the internet. Connection is a bit hit and miss because of flaky drivers, but you will need it if you've spent a fortune on something that comes without it.

The hardware itself is great, but the driver disk supplied contains no drivers for Windows XP x64 Edition or Windows Vista. A compatible driver is available from [...], though you need to search for the PSR-295 keyboard USB - MIDI driver and use that.
