After I saw the very high reviews in Amazon web site I could not resist the feeling to buy this as a dock for my newly bought iphone 3G. Thats where it went wrong as it is not fully compatible with iphone 3G (but it is my fault that I did not check properly about the compatibility). It can play music from iphone 3G but does not charge that so I have to charge it seperately. But still I decided to keep it without returning as the music quality is superb, compared to its size. It gives the full range of frequencies at a reasonable volume which is good enough for a living room. Its stylysh design makes it more suitable for a living room so you can keep your hi-fi seperates some where else hiding all messy wires, but still you will need them, as I dont think you can replace those with this tiny thing as somebody has done in the reviews. Overall performences remain excellent (appearence and good sound quality for the size) but there are a few drawbacks which keeps this away from perfection. 1) you cant go to menu to select songs with the remote (of course you can go to next track and the previous with the remote) 2) No sub woofer out or any kind of out put socket to connect a sub woofer to get deeper bass 3) ipod slot is so tight fitting so you have to remove all the covers to slot that-in which is a trouble. (can use 3.5mm connection but I found the sound quality is slightly less with that and you cant skip songs with the remote) 4) Ultimately if you are an audiofreek like me you cant satisfy with this sound quality as you will miss the lovely deep bass coming from a sub woofer and also the ability to boost treble and bass with an EQ acording to the song. But this is value for money.

Great sound quality but this unit plays but does NOT CHARGE Nano 4th generation. Look carefully above the third picture on the Amazon description of the unit and it actually says as much. I'm 60 poorer on this one so BEWARE.
Great speakers November 23, 2008

Value for money these must be the best speakers around. I have heard Bose and Creative speakers.These are mains only but the power and quality of the sound is very good, I would say comparable with Bose and significantly better than Creative. There is comfortably enough power for a big sound in a large room. All in all very pleased with this.
The best speakers i have ever seen. I won't buy Bose from now on. Now I love even those songs that I used to dislike earlier! November 21, 2008

These are simply the best. And now even 53% cheap. I will not say anything because the more I say is less! Only thing that I would say is that there can be no better speakers than this.

Having spent ages deciding on a speaker system for my Ipod I settled for the Klipsch mainly on other recommendations. I am glad I did. The sound quality from the Klipsch is unbelievable. I listened to the Bose system in a large electrical store on my Ipod and there is no difference in sound
quality. The only difference is the Klipsch is half the price. The build quality is superb. I like the 4 pin DIN connector as it is really solid and secure. Nifty little remote, lovely glossy black features and black metal speaker grilles. There is even a docking cradle for an MP3. The Ipod sits snuggly on the speakers not above as on others where it looks like an add on. The sound is nice and bassy and is crystal clear at all volumes. This has now replaced my Sony CD system. Take it from me, I am fussy and this has ticked all the boxes for me. Well done again Amazon for excellent service and fast delivery. Five star product. If you are 'umming' over one - go for it!
