Electronic-incised punk with euphoric disco anthems ring any bells but this sure isn't The Rapture, this emerging hipping electro-rock-punk duo knows how to ignite your heights of music pleasure by purposefully fizzing cutting edge harmonising electro funk infused into their heads. Okay fair enough they intensely overdue on arrival on the scene but this late ticket from James Murphy has sure drawn enormous soundscapes of monstrous funkiness in his production, firstly with this explosive first single and opener from their eponymous debut album (with thanks to DFA records). With true refreshing back-beating bass, cool whimsical lyrics and a great catchy synthesis it makes it more than simply a pop tune with a dance theme. Its not only hypothetically good but damn ecliptic in all proportions which would be in demand in clubs and enough to keep your dancing shoes jittering with joy, not at least tapping.
