Reality Check December 4, 2008 Ewan Gibson Some of the people giving this little beauty 1 star need to get a reality check. This player is fabulous value for money, and so easy to use. What do you expect for 20, you get a built in radio, sound recorder, mp3 player with a screen in something smaller than a matchbox. For running or trips on the train you hardly know its there. Don't worry about the headphones you should own a decent pair anyway, decent headphones cost more than this player alone. People who buy this and expect cheap well built mp3 player with good sound quality, will be overjoyed.

Great aesthetics, shame about the electonics. December 4, 2008 K. Alexander (Cambridge, UK) A very attractive little unit that shows all the signs of really thoughtful and tasteful exterior design; it was therefore a great disappointment to find that after 8 hours of charging it from the USB port of my PC it indicated only 1 bar on the battery indicator and then shut down after about 10 minutes usage because the battery was indeed flat.
During its short 10 minute life time the player gave a good account of itself; it had a really nice quality of sound and was fairly intuitive to use - a shame then that I had to send it back to Amazon for a refund because of the poor overall quality of its electronic design.
Top product for the price... November 23, 2008 T. Hearson (Yorkshire, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Just received it and i can say that it's a fantastic bit of kit.
Sound quality's excellent and the headphones provided are damn good given the quality of similarly priced mp3 players. The screen does really well for its size and it's very light.
Had a few connection issues as the cable supplied is very short and a tad temperamental but it's a very common socket size so it may be that you have a better cable that fits from elsewhere.
I am a tad miffed that it's gone down in price since since i bought it, which was only a few days ago, but all the more reason to snap one up now. I'd also get the version with more memory because it'd be worth every extra penny.
Good work.
Great hardware - lousey software November 22, 2008 Anthony James Western (Bridlington UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
It is an amazing piece of hardware - so small and yet so easy to use. The display is clear, the sound great and the controls so intuitive. My complaint comes when I try to load my MP3 collection. Connecting to the PC is easy and windows quickly displays a set of folders on the player - they are not real folders. You can only put albums and tracks into the "Music" folder - what happens to them after that is a mystery. Perhaps the device is aimed at those who download music tracks from the net. To these automatic sorting into "artist" "genre" etc might have some intrinsic value. For me I want the folders that I load into the player to stay as I organised them. In this player the folder names get listed as "unknown". The tracks in my folders seem to be scattered in various folders. Most annoying is the way it handles my MP3 "learn French" lessons. It lists lessons 1 to 9 in one place,18 to 20 in another and the remaining ten lessons at random throughout the pseudo folders it provides. Previously I owned an ATMT player, bought from Amazon. No such problems with that player - if only the battery had lasted longer! This player is an example of the modern meddling approach to software design -"We'll give them what we want - not what they want". For God's sake let me organise my files how I like!
