Quest for brilliance. April 27, 2007 Mr. T. Siegertsz (Staffordshire, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
For those whom are yet to be enlightened, Les Hemstock & Chris Jennings have been providing the global trance network with top-notch anthems and mixes throughout the late nineties up to the present day. They have a unique ability to merge various types of trance into mind-blowing songs/tracks, which use numerous influences ranging from Techno, Goa trance, PsyTrance and the more familiar genre of `progressive' trance.
Classics include; Mirage (Of Hope), Babylon, Rendezvous, The Nazarean, Arizona, The Digital Blonde: Mooga (Hemstock & Jennings Remix), Mandrake: Universal Soul (Hemstock & Jennings Remix) etc etc.
This album is a showcase for the two British talents that are up there with the likes of; Lange, Mike Koglin, Agnelli & Nelson, John `00' Fleming and perhaps the incredible trio Above & Beyond (a.k.a. OceanLab & Tranquillity Base etc). With this in mind analysing disc 1 in particular, I would have to point out the best tracks which is quite tricky. However here they are; Mirage (Jochen Miller Mix), Tears of an Angel (Hemstock & Jennings Remix), Aquarius (DJ Atmospherik Mix), Tempest, Neon Eyes & Babylon.
The second disc offers something slightly different yet equally as addictive. Once again the standout tracks would have to be; Chromatic, When Morning Comes, The Drums 2005 (Back 2 Back Mix), Static Bullet (Jochen Miller Remix), Tibet & Shockwaves (Technopunk Mix).
Give this album a try as it contains some genuinely powerful trance anthems and explores various subdivisions of a truly fantastic genre of music-TRANCE!

Wow! This up to date collection gives you the goose bumps you thought were a past memory. July 7, 2006 Mr. Craig Sedge (Hampshire, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Wow! Hemstock and Jennings have come up with a masterpiece. Being so so passionate about trance I was beginning to lose faith in the music scene. These guys have been on the scene for a long time and were big names (that you may never have heard of) back when I got in to trance in 1998. They have remixed and collaborated with the biggest names on the scene.
There's no messing about, after the gentle intro on CD1, there's only enough time for you to scrape your self off the ceiling to change to CD2. There are some very familar names and many that I'm pleased to say I've never heard of because they more than hit the mark. There is not one mediocre track on this compilation. Well done boys.
I listened to this in the car first and I just didn't want to arrive at my destination, my teeth were grinding and the prickles up on my neck to the uplifting qualities of CD1. CD2 takes the journey further with a less relenting tech beat with oodles of variety.
There's a danger that when you introduce Operatic's or chanting in to dance music it turns in to a stinking pile of cheese. Not here everything is carried off well.
So thanks to Les Hemstock and Chris Jennings for the journey back to where trance should be, in addition to the artists and everyone involved in producing this masterpiece.
Go buy it now!!!
