Best Trance Abulm of the year so far! September 26, 2002 Shaun McCann (South East London, England) A great combination of cheesy trance (Lasgo,Scooter) classic trance, (cafe del mar, Waterfall even though great remix)and Ibiza tunes from the best artist's in the Med such as Tiesto, Oakenfold and Marh o'h not two mention remixses by Barthezz that were ripping up the dance floor clubs of Eden and Pacha! Trust me I was their! Get this abulm to re-live the memory's of them Baleric holidays!
Great, but lousy production loses a star. September 10, 2002 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
A glance down the contents list shows that this is a superb album with not a single bad track, and it is. Everything here - with the exception of Cafe Del Mar, which no trance compilation should be without anyway - was released in the last year or so, and while most are only radio edits it does mean that you get a lot more tracks for your money, even if you miss out on some of the best remixes. Nothing here's off a white label promo, but there are a number of rarer tracks which many people may not have heard before, and they're all good. Of course, there's also the more famous commercial tracks from Oakey, Tiesto, PPK, Paffendorf, and Scooter's insane but brilliant "The Logical Song". But while the content's up at the top, the nasty production brings it down. Yes, the mixing's OK, but the sound's been badly compressed until it sounds like a Radio 1 show - doubtless the intention - and on more revealing CD players it sounds awful. You won't notice it in the car or on a typical mini-system, but play it through a decent hi-fi seperates system and it sounds really grating and rough in places. It's no worse than most of the other commercial compilation albums, but compared with some of Tiesto's or Corsten's compilations it really sounds dodgy. But still, it's more than worth the money...
The head nodding just won't stop August 28, 2002 Rocket (London, United Kingdom) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was looking to catch up on all the latest trance releases and normally go for the latest Euphoria album. Instead, I took a punt with this little baby and boy was I not disappointed!Trance Masters delivers from start to finish wave after wave of killer tracks without any notable filler. Sure there are some songs that veer towards the cheesy side but I can assure you that they've picked some of the best vocal mixes on offer with personal highlights including Flip & Fill's Shooting Star, Madelyne's Beautiful Child, the Tiesto Mix of Oakenfold's Southern Sun, Armin va Buuren's mix of Solid Session's Janeiro and that crrrrazy Scooter track. They've even thrown in some older crowd pleasers like Tiesto's Suburban Train and the latest Cafe Del Mar remix. All in all, if your a fan of the genre you'll certainly have a lot of fun dancing in your bedroom to this album. There's no need now to put up with half a compilation CD of house music when such pure, unadulterated trance exists this neat little package.
I dare you not to dance! August 17, 2002 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
If you had to some up all that represented the world of trance on one CD this would be the one. Trance Masters is a mindblowing mix of the summers most amazing and poplar tacks mixed and re-mixed by the greatest DJ's and Producers on the planet such as DJ Tiesto and Flip 'n' Fill. It includes the chart topping succeses of Flip 'n' Fills - Shooting Star and PPK's - Resurection. Plus the ground braking Be Cool by german duo Paffendorf. Also on the CD is Cafe Del Mar by Energy 52 which is still being played in the top clubs four years after its initial release. And who can forget the buzz when you hear the pounding melody of Scooters - The Logical Song? This CD is a must for any collection. It makes you want to turn the volume up high and reach for the skys bringing the ultimate clubbing experience home to your living room.
