5 out of 5 stars By far one of the best Gatecrasher compilations   October 14, 2003

34 tracks on 2 beautiful CD's that perfectly cover every possible aspect of Trance music. CD 1 - Led Persuasion contains a softer, more instrumental introduction to the scene. "En Motion - Getting Away With it" is a perfect example of this aspect of Trance. The tune is beautifully crafted from start to finish, preparing the good trance faithful for what is to come later. The likes of "Human Evolution - Human Evolution" and Push's wonderful "Tranzy State of Mind" will leave you standing in the middle of your lounge/bedroom (where ever is appropriate) hands in the air, reaching for the stars.

Personal favourite CD 1: "Yves Deruyter - Music Non Stop". There is something wondeful about this track that I cannot completely describe to you. I think it is most likely the huge abundance of energy that this tune displays from start to end. With most tunes I listen to them a few times over before I really make my mind up whether I like them. 5 seconds into this track and I loved it.

CD (Widescreen power) moves on into some of the harder cutting edge areas of Trance with tunes such as "The Mystery - Devotion" and "Marc Dawn - Expander" mashing up the place.

Personal Favourite CD 2: "Altitude - Altitude"

The last couple of Gatecrasher albums (apart from Experience) have been slightly disappointing. Of course you will have your own opinion based upon your preferred genre of music. All that I can say is that for those of you who are looking for an all-round, high-quality provision of uplifting trance, look no further...

...and although this experience is NOT quite the same as being in the middle of 5,000 ecstatic clubbers in Gatecrasher's very own site in Sheffield, it is a really good runner-up.

All the best, (and happy Trance hunting!),

Aaron
IT WILL ALWAYS BE WITH YOU

5 out of 5 stars Hard But Uplifting...You cant ask for more!!!   May 27, 2002

After Gatecrasher - Experience i had very high expectations of this album. After playing it through it sounds good. After you've heard for a few more times it sounds amazing, GC manages to combined uplifing methodies with there tradishional hard driving basslines.

The mixing in Digital trance is very abrupt in places but it is not noticed because of the Sheer quality of music you are listening to.

I would recommend this to people who enjoy hard and uplifting trance. For people looking for more casual commercial dance an MoS album would seem a more useful choice.

My summary says it all!! This album has returned Gatecrasher to the very top of Trance albums after a disappointing last few. Thank god the chillout CD has gone as chillout and Gatecraher are two words that should never be together!!

If your into any kind of Trance then this CD is the one for you. It has every kind apart from the progressive nonsense that gladly Gatecrasher have moved on from. CD 1 is very good and works you up for a phenominal experience on CD 2 cause when this badboy comes on, crank up your stereo, turn off the lights and be at Gatecrasher. Tune after tune brings the shivering goose pimples down your spine and leaves you wanting more and more. Well placed stunners have to go in the form of DRP-Invasion, Norman DJ-Go Back, and Marc Dawn-Expander. AMAZING and a MUST BUY for Trance lovers. Gatecrasher have succeeded again, everyone else is in their trail!! WOW!!

I think Gatecrasher are trying to make this cd a "non cheesy" trancer and that has been done. But as an exciting, entertaining cd, it is a complete failure. There are very few uplifting tunes on here, many old tracks and a few good tracks spoiled by being remixed badly.
The best trance release of the year has to be "trance nation 2002", which was excellent.
