SIMPLY MAGIK! April 8, 2008 Mr. K. Eaton What more can i add about this album that has not been said before. All i know is this album is amazing, every track and mix is perfect and when tiesto's own mix of silence kicks in it will have your inner self among the clouds!. I have been listening to trance since 1990 at the old orbit after dark club in Morley Leeds so i know my stuff and this is definatly up there with the best if not the pinacle. Well done Tiesto, i just wish i were there on this night :(
Greatest trance album ever February 22, 2008 Mr. J. Spence As the title says this is by far the greatest collection of trance ive ever heard on a album. Each and every tune is just as banging and as mint as the last. Each song has you waving those hands in the air, and puts u in a complete state of euphoria. The album is packed with epic and anthem trance so if thats your favourite kind, then this is the best album for you. Well done Tiesto!!
A Magik Experience June 21, 2007 G. Wheeler (United Kingdom) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After hearing the reviews for the Magik Series and being slightly disappointed with Tiesto's 'In search of sunrise' Vol. 5 I decided to embark on the Magik journey with the Magik series. Tiesto is truly in his element on each of these CDs. Uplifting trance at its finest with the live experience of hearing 10,000 ravers in the background cheering for each tune just adding to the sensation. As we speak Im listening to tracks from Magik 6 and you really can't fault this album. From start to finish the album takes you on a journey through the dream realms of trance. The tracks on the CD fit together like jigsaw pieces and Tiesto truly understands the dynamics of trance music as he fits each of these jems of tracks together for a unique blend of dark and uplifting trance with each track. The highlights for me on these tracks have to be: Track 3-Voyage -- Dirty trance track that lifts you up to your feet! Track 9-Wasteland -- A deep, progressive track with an awesome breakdown, probably my favourite track on the whole cd Track 11-Escape from nowhere -- This track is fantastic with dolphin synth sounds during the breakdown sending shivers down your spine! Track 15-Cloudwalking -- Its funny, a reviewer on here challenged people not to get shivers down their spine through this track during the breakdown...I failed miserably! amazing track with the crowd noises and Tiesto himself speaking just adding to the sensation.
I don't know what else to say about this album other than its a mainstay on my CD player and computer despite the amount of albums I buy monthly. An excellent display of DJing talent from the legend of trance himself Tiesto. Trance fans are in for a real treat with this album and I strongly recommend you, if you don't already, to purchase this CD and experience the Magik phenominan for yourself. Non-trance fans who want to learn more about trance should start with the 'gatecrasher classics' cds before diving in the deep end with this masterpiece. THIS is what trance music is all about. THIS is what magik is. Losing yourself in the music and that's exactly what Tiesto does here. (Also I strongly recommend Magik Vol. 5, although not as good as this masterpiece, it is another very strong cd with amazing tracks on!)

The best trance album you could ever want February 10, 2005 Adam (England) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This was the first Magik album I purchased. Since then I have added Magik volumes 3, 5 and 7 to my collection, but Live in Amsterdam is still the best by a long way. Highlight of the album for me is Moogwai - Viola, probably the best trance track I have ever heard anywhere, it's so in your face, non-stop, relentless, for over 7 minutes, it is an awesome piece of music. Tracks 3 through to 6 are also choons that I sometimes just listen to over and over again. All brilliant. Tiesto's remix of Silence is good, but to be honest isn't my fave, but I know so many other people love it. Cloud 69 - Sixty Nine Ways is also another personal fave, it's such a good track. And what can I say about the way this set closes, Pulser - Cloudwalking. Simply stunning, I challenge anyone to listen to this and not get an immense amount of shivers down their spine. The Tiesto magik series is amazing, but this one quite simply is in a league of its own. Buy buy buy!!
