Instantly infectious from the opening note, 'Put Em High' desrves nothing less than the number one spot. Released on the ultra chic Hed Kandi label, the single is backed by mixes from JJ, Dancing Divas, Seamus Haji, and Lief... but it's the "Sharp Boys Funky Fiesta Mix" which wins it for me. Retaining all of the addictive hooks and elements from the main single mix - including the excellent vocal by Therese - the Sharp Boys turn it up further by weaving a beautiful thread of Spanish guitar throughout, and believe me, it works an absolute treat. This will easily end up as one of the biggest dance tracks of 2004, and will without doubt end up being considered as what it is - a dance classic. Just buy it!

If Shapeshifters deserved a week at number 1, then this deserves 2. First emerged last summer - it has taken the industry quite a while to accept that this song is a dance classic in the making and deserves a full release. Now all over the radio and DJ playlists across Europe... watch it fly.
