 Not ideal for die-hard DJ's, but great for home December 12, 2006

I was looking for a program to mix my music with, and I got this because I knew that it could import all my WMA files. And it did, but I found the Mixcraft software not accessible enough to be a true DJ program. The layout is fairly straight foward - wavelengths stacked above each other, but with no cross fader and no auto beat matching (a big mistake) it isn't ideal for mixing dance music, and everything has to be done up to the millimeter if you try to beat match the songs manually, by placing one song over the other.
However, if its just fade ins/outs, or effects you want, its a great program that'd be ideal for party music when your not worried about beat matches. It does take time before you learn certain tricks and styles you can try to use, but it just isnt in depth and accessbile enough for DJ's. The other cd included is a Music Suite, which has about 4 seperate prgrams you can install, from cd labelling to MP3 burning (your cd player must be compatable for that). The labelling program is excellent and a nice modern interface too, while for some reason another MP3 music mixing program is included, though this is very basic.
Overall its a nice package, though I defiantely wouldn't psend more than 10 on it, as it feels like you bought it off one of the 'Budget PC game' racks. 9/10 for features and options, but just don't expect to become Pete Tong with this Mixcraft software!

Ihave found this a really creative product. I can create my music like a real PRO - has saved me fromhaving all those blank discs.I wouldnt use anything else!
