well what can i say pioneer in my book do the best dvd writers and at this price need i say more. i must point out the delivery was ultra fast i had this in my machine up and running in no time. thanks again for fast service would love to use you guys again in future

Ordered one of these in grey and it works perfectly - pretty fast, never had a write problem yet - just connect up to the internal cables as normal and off it went.

Ordered this item and it arrived within a few days in a large cardboard box, wrapped in bubble rap. I installed the device into a free bay and connected both internal cables to it. I have this as my main dvd drive and use the other one as a secondary unit. The Pioneer DVR-112D does not come with any cables, however your P.C. should have an internal power splitter cable and an IDE cable to connect to it, if not they are not that expensive to purchase and just attach it to one already there. If you just want to replace the one you already have, then disconnect the current drive and replace it with the new one. Instructions come in a fold up sheet and are clear and well explained, with a few diagrams.
I've burned a few dvd disks on it and found it fairly quick and for the price you pay, it is a bit of a bargain. With the addition of playing and recording dual layer disks I have to recommend it.

The drive arrived in a matter of days and yes the packaging could be slightly more robust but the item installed perfectly and has performed flawlessly since. I can only suggest not using the same lottery numbers as the negative reviewer as I've never received faulty goods from Amazon over many years of use.

I cannot find fault either with Amazon or the Writer. Used the free delivery option and arrived in about 5 days in perefect condition. Straight swop for my existing DVD Rom drive. Works a treat with RiDisc Printable Dual Layer discs
