broke after 5 months March 20, 2008 hayley 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I was really pleased when it arrived and I worked great for the first 5 months. It was carefully used and wired up properly and broke last week. Amazon do not accept returns after 1 month and the Pioneer returns department is abysmal so despite it being under warranty I cannot return it. I wouldn't bother buying this product!
Mostly harmless January 19, 2008 David Gardiner 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I use this as a PA amplifier in small halls, mostly fed from a very simple battery-powered mixer and a radio mic. In this capacity it works well, but it would be nice if the main unit incorporated a means of mixing or adding more than one input rather than merely switching from one to the other. An odd idiosyncrasy is that a sudden large spike to the input (e.g. pulling out an audio plug) can cause the front end to go into some kind of oscillation, knocking out the sound completely until the unit is switched off and on again (and there is a nine second delay before it comes back on). I returned mine for servicing in an attempt to solve this problem but the engineers were unable to reproduce the fault. It's fairly rare but disastrous when it happens. In normal use the unit is absolutely fine and good value for the money.
Great amp! October 22, 2007 Matthew Priem (Flanders, Belgium) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
If you want a really great amplifier but you're a student, or you don't want to spend a fortune on an amplifier, than this is the amp for you! It gives a rich and clear sound. And no one can beat the price! The only downside is the lack of support for a second pair of speakers, if you don't mind this, then go for it!

For the money, this is a really excellent amplifier from every point of view except one, it does not have a remote control. If you don't need a remote, GO for it!
