Great album August 15, 2007 Mark Grice (UK) Really good choice of tracks, nice eclectic mix, well mixed by Oakie. He has been mixed recently live and on cd, but this is really good. Love Ian Brown re-mix
Oakey's Lost It August 13, 2004 Mr. C. H. Diffley (Sydney) 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
I never thought I'd say this, but Oakenfold has lost it. This is such a dull album that you realise it's finished without remembering anything of the last 2 hours. Have given it a chance now, but as there are no stand out tracks on it, it does not get any better with time.
Fantastic July 22, 2004 Aneeka Peris 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
This album is simply wicked. It's got a remix version of Hollywood. There is a whole new world of trance portrayed in this CD. Oakenfold has remixed the best of the best.Definitely a good buy!
Oakey Back To His Best April 27, 2004 N!L (England) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Having listened to oakenfolds mixes for many years, and as an avid fan ofhis sets on the essential mix i believed oakeys style was becoming stale.his sets were losing there euphoria and sheer ibiza rhythms. i have neverbeen a great fan of his single releases, i never believed this was hisstyle, and as recently he has been releasing albums (bunkka andtranceportal) i was excited when i heard he was going to play the greatwall. these live shows is where i believe he excells himself. this is agreat investment for any trance fan as oakey seems to have upped his gameagain with great mixing and euphoric beats
Go on a journey with Oakey October 16, 2003 7 out of 9 found this review helpful
I have loved Paul Oakenfold mixes ever since his 1996 release Flouro Tracks. Admittedly Oakey’s releases over the years have been varied in quality but when he is on form there is no one better. GreatWall is much welcome return to form after the disappointing Perfecto Presents Ibiza. The mix is classic Oakey it takes you on a journey lifting you up and down as you go along. I'm not joking, GreatWall is as good as his fantastic Global Underground releases, Oslo & New York and it doesn’t get any better than that! If you buy one mix this year do me a favour and make it this one.
