I totally agree with the last reviewer regarding these compilations. They are like Hed Kandi used to be before they became too commercialised. Great sexy house music. I have all of these CDs and there isn't a bad one!! Buy it and enjoy!!

This album has to be one of the best house complications of recent times.
The top 5 tracks you need to listen to are Get It On (Summer Love), Spread Love, Insatiable, You're A Player & Disco Drive. In fact every track is a decent example of how house should be done, and makes a welcome addition to any Housexy collection.

There's a glut of house mix cds out there, and some are better than others and this is one of the BEST this year. Hed Kandi mix 2006 is a very good compilation but the above review is spot on - not one track on this double are you tempted to skip - it's addictive, quality, nicely ordered and mixed and you have got to love any CD with the Muthafunkaz on! All tracks are just such good quality in both song and mix/version - staggeringly good. Play it loud at home, on the iPod or in the car - guaranteed uplift and so so aptly named. Well played housexy people - real quality.

Housexy Sounds of Summer is the 4th installment from this relatively new brand and boy have they made some excellent cd's.
This, i feel is as strong if not stronger than the Spring 06 release not just for the quality of tracks but the artwork too. The girls on the covers just seem to get better looking and i think it's going to be VERY difficult to better this one as she's a beaut!!
About the music now and cd 1 starts nicely with tracks "Get it on", "Stallin Me" and the brilliant "Insatiable" which has had a real work over from the mix found on the Twisted Cd 06 brought out by Hed Kandi in the Spring. This mix is amazing and makes this track one of the catchiest on the album.
Other stand out songs for me are "Gonna C U Right", "You're A Player", "I Wish You Would", "Hypnotized" and an absolute belter by Gaelle called "Give It Back" which has again been mixed differently and i feel much better than the mix which is on the latest Hed Kandi release.
So far so good then.... Has the second cd got what the first cd had?? of course. Housexy somehow manages to keep the consistency up with their releases all the way through both cd's.
And the second cd starts with another brilliant track called "Intoxicated". Stand out tracks on this disc are "Borderline", "Point Of View", "Love Sensation 06", "Make It Loud" and "Jetsetter".
All in all then another excellent cd compiled and mixed by Housexy Resident Nick Bridges.
Look forward to their next release!!

The Housexy series is fast becoming what Hed Kandi used to be ... compilations featuring fine, sexy house music. Not a dud track on this latest release, seamlessly mixed and nicely packaged.
Highlights are Borderline by Michael Gray (with the full vocals - at last!!); Intoxicated; Heaven; Insatiable. I will stop there, or will list all the tracks!
I have bought quite a few house comps recently (Hed kandi summer mix 2006, Seamus Haji sessions, Faithless Renaissance, Tokyo Disco) and have been a bit disappointed with them. This, however, has hit the nail on the head. The only problem is taking it out of the CD player
