When MOS was good April 27, 2006 Jamie E. I. Wright 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought album about 3years ago it really is outstanding mix on both disc. Some top trance and house tunes around. It just bring days of the euphoric euro trance on disc1.Top tunes like WILL I,PPK,Drifting away,Beatiful and Light a rainbow every tracks good. Then disc2 doesnt fail to impress to with Runnin,Gotta get thru this,Belivers,Black water and JADED MEMORY and SAVE ARE SOUL ongoing decent tunes. Please Mos you need to bring out more stuff like this and stop the cheeasy remakes get it now.
No Doubts February 6, 2002 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
I am normally suspicious of compilations and guides and such, but MoS definitely has a winning set with CG2002. I think this is really less trance and more club dance, so it is not an up and down trip, but still totally kicks. Lots of vocals in concert with lots of electronica. The mix transitions are probably not the smoothest, although you will be revved enough to not notice. If you've been clubbing lately then the tracks will not be entirely new; however I did pick up Gatecrasher Exp in the same order, and it is still in the original packaging since CG2002 has been resident in every audio device I own since I got it. This set is well worth every last Pound and Euro. No doubts, no hesitations. You will be grinning all the way through.
A must for your in-car audio entertainment... a must buy.... January 28, 2002 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
From the opening track of Ian Van Dahl's "will i" to the closing of The Realm's "this is not a breakdown", all 40 tracks are fine, with the best selection of tunes from the Dance chart. Well worth turning up your car cd player volume, increasing the treble and bass, then going for a long ride to enjoy it all.
Trance is dead January 23, 2002 6 out of 13 found this review helpful
I have to disagree with the other reviews here. I was bought this by someone who knows I love MoS's chill-out comps. However, this one just goes to show how tired dance music has become, especially euro/anthem/wasps-in-a-can type trance. The trance efforts here are the usual suspects..predictable computer-generated 'anthems' with breakdowns we've all heard a zillion times. I give this 3 stars as it's no worse than any other compilation of its type currently doing the rounds, and with hardly any interesting material around they've made an OK job with what's available. I just hope that this year trance is finally laid to rest, never to return.
Ministry keeps going with new fat tunes January 8, 2002 7 out of 11 found this review helpful
Ministy has decided to keep the ministry faithful happy and put loads of decent tunes on their new album. Easily beating last years guide to 2001 and a few albums they released last yaer. They have great chunes like Will I?, PPK, Riva, Basstoy to name a few. This a well worth buy to get you into the flavour that will be 2002
