| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.co.uk Review The Annual 2002 is in fact a retrospective of 2001, and, coming from the satisfaction-guaranteed Ministry stables, contains all the big tunes from another great year for dance music. From Ibiza 2001 faves Roger Sanchez's "Another Chance", Raven Maize's "Real Life" and Iio's "Rapture" to Ayia Napa's garage flavas such as So Solid Crew's "21 Seconds" and DJ Pied Piper and the Master of Ceremonies' "Do You Really Like It", there's not a duff track to be found. Bringing it right up to date are more recent tracks such as Supermen Lovers' "Starlight", Jean-Jacques Smoothies' "2 People" and Par-T-One's "I'm So Crazy", which should be packing the dance floors well into 2002. 2001 was such a great year that the good people at the Ministry couldn't fit all the tracks onto their usual two discs, so this time you get three for your money, but this doesn't dilute the quality in any way. This is the essential souvenir of the year. --Helen Marquis

Don't think Garage will be involved in this again September 13, 2008 supersteve This is my second favourite Annual album, if it wasn't for Disc 2 with it's Garage and stuff I would give it 5
However the only disc I truely like is CD 3, with it's great tunes on there!
Wrong Tracks June 4, 2008 S. Stammers It might just be mine but the track listing for cd 2 are wrong, all the track numbers are out by one because there seems to be an unstated track at the beginning, overall not the best on (probably the worst)
Some Good Tunes..... Pathetic Mixing....... MOS has changed! October 20, 2003 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This album is terrible! Mixing professionally done? No! Evidence: listen to Temple Of Dreams with Paffendorf Be Cool mixing in and listen to that horrible pitch bend! Listen to some of the other Cheesy mixes he does especially on Disc 1. This is not what you would expect from Ministry but then again this is how they changed after Clubbers guide to 2001 mixed by Tall Paul which was a good CD in terms of mixing. If you appreciate good mixing along with good tunes then do not buy this Annual!
Surprisingly OK actually March 28, 2002 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
Ok it won't win any credibility contests. Ever. And it's quite obviously mixed by a machine (although considering the hash Judge Jules and Tall Pall made of last years effort that's actually no bad thing). And it's all a bit cheesy and predictable. And the garage bit really, REALLY doesn't work. But...for some reason it still comes out OK. Actually two reasons:1. This has been a good year for music so putting together a decent compilation was probably about as hard as teaching your Grandma to suck eggs. 2. Switching to the 3 CD format has allowed them to add in a few surprises to the usual fare so whilst 40 of the tracks may be big hits (oh look it's Rui Da Silva. Again.) the other 20 or so are tracks that didn't make it into the charts but were genuine sleeper hits in bars and clubs. Shame I couldn't give it 3 and a half. Still overall well worth a listen (just be ready with the skip button when Ian Van Dahl comes on).
Club Compilation of the year without a doubt! January 23, 2002 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
A mix of trance, house and garage this is most certainly the Compilation track you want. With a mixture for everyone you cannot go wrong with this. With well known tracks such as "Rapture by iio", "Starlight by the Supermen lovers", "Set Me Free by N-trance", "21 Seconds by the So solid crew" and the track of the Summer "Castles In The Sky by Ian Van Dahl" Means that you get all these top tracks all on one CD! I think this CD is fantastic and I never stop listening to it. Particular favourites of mine on the CD include: "Exploration of Space by Cosmic Gate" and "Course Bruv by the Genius Crew" If you are a true clubbing fan you will want this!
