Still after all these years - one of the best April 28, 2007 N. Little (San Francisco, CA) It surprises me year after year how I can replay this CD at the beginning of spring and be swept up in its great sounds...actually, this is a disc for all seasons and certainly one of the best mix CDs of its year/genre.
Amazing July 26, 2005 Absolutely amazing... Six years on and it is still one of the best albums of its kind. Buy it.
Late Night Sublime Deepness April 6, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This still remains one of the best DJ mix compilations I own. I've always loved the different sounds on these 2 CD's. From the deep and dubby '2 Loves' which sets the mood for the mix, to Dubtribe's tribal rhythms, then from the dreamy and sublime 'Flower' to the gorgeous jazzy vibes of 'Bliss' this really is a fantastic late night musical journey. For those of you who like quality deep house without the standard fillers then this little gem wont dissappoint. It's just a shame Farley & Heller didnt produce more of the same.
IF YOU DON'T OWN THIS..... July 21, 2002 ....Then you're missing out on a superbly mixed, wonderfully compiled deep house mix which focuses on that Late Night post-club feeling you get when you leave.I wasn't sure at first, not really being a Farley & Heller fan & not realisng of course that they have 'The Knowledge' for Deep House excursions.Highlights are: 'Paradise' by Nick Holder, 'Float' by David Alvarado, 'Music & Wine' by Blue 6,but there really are so many, not a duff one here....Recline to the Divine!
Chilled-out summer house from NYC's finest fatboys! December 19, 2000 jpp@zoom.co.uk (Brighton, England) The very first tune on this fantastic summer mix gives you some idea of what to expect... quite sublime, deep jazzy house from a couple of guys who know a thing or two about chilling out and letting the music consume you. Every track is a lesson in dimming the lights, cracking a beer and kicking back after a hard night turfing up the dance floor. The only thing I would say against this absolute belter of a mix is that it no doubt sounds much better on the beach in San Fran or Miami than it does in London... I'm already packed!
