Miguel Migs disc... March 19, 2008 R. Littler (Chester, UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
...is the only one I've listened to repeatedly. Deep and funky house at it's very best!

I went out & bought this set through the recommendation of a workmate and was quite suprised to find it quite good. The only downside i found from it was the Miguel Migs disc, his set was a bit too deep for my 37 year old ears, even there were a few outstanding soulful tracks.Joey Negro - what can i say... i'm nodding my head & shaking my body to his tracks while i'm typing this review. If you want soulful, funky, sweet tunes look no further than this quality offering. Gilles Peterson - i first heard him play in the Bunker at the Prestatyn 5 Soul Weekender 1989 & have been hooked ever since. This set is amazing & one of his bet to date, Latin, Jazz, whatever rocks your boat it's on this disc. As i mentioned earlier the only set out of the 3 i didn't really enjoy was Miguel Migs & i'm putting that down to my laid back listening tastes, it will appeal to most listeners Saying that, over all it's an excellent buy.

Miguel Migs and Joey Negro, these 2 cd's are superb, you won't be dissapointed. However, the giles peterson one, I didn't like it, he used to be good, remember the jazz juice compilations ? excellent, I don't like this stuff
Sheer Quality March 4, 2004 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Absolute Class - difficult to find quality dance these days but this compilation is quality from end to end - thoughfully mixed and the groove is an absolute delight. Simply a must purchase for any serious music fan, esp. house crews.
Funky Style!! February 23, 2004 G. Gibson (Hampshire, UK) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Hey people, this CD is quality!! It's got sooo much funky style, you just have to get up and dance to the beats. Joey Negro is rude on the decks and Gilles Petersson alike. Get this CD!! You will not be disappointed.
