Casio PX-320 digital stage piano May 3, 2008 R. Duncan (Ipswich, Suffolk United Kingdom) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I use the piano for teaching on as well as in 2 bands. Despite being only 11kg, its very robust and feels built to last.
The quality of the sounds is very high and not dissimilar to my much pricier Roland FP5.
Choose this over the lesser Casios for the 2x 1/4 inch line outs, AIF sound source (most of the lesser ones use the inferior ZPI sound source and there's a LOT between them), USB connection, SD card etc etc.
This is an absolute bargain at 450. My only complaint is that the line outs are at 1.8v which is a little low- my Roland has 2.0v outs so need to turn up the PA louder to get the same level of sound.
However, for action, 5 out of 5 Sounds, 5 out of 5 Build, 5 out of 5 Features, 5 out of 5
THOROUGHLY recommended over the Yamaha range (too bright and keyboard action too spongy in my opinion) and not far off Rolands, at under half the weight. Go and test one out :)
5 stars not enough! March 15, 2008 Stewart Griffin 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I'm surprised to see that this keyboard costs less than the PX-200; but then, things are unnecessary overpriced in the UK!!
THE REVIEW: The Yamaha DGX-620 was initially what I wanted to get... until I played on this keyboard. The action is as real as it gets, the piano sounds are great, 128 polyphony means no notes drop out when you go heavy on the sustain pedal, SD card to store your songs, Memory registration, Mature-looking design and a music library with classic piano pieces; it also can be used as a MIDI controller!! Plus, its very LIGHT and can easily be carried by one person!! Get the matching stand though, because mine bounces around on my X-stand when I'm playing. For the price, this is an excellent buy!
