Brilliant Laptop August 14, 2008 Gerry (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I don't ever write reviews on Amazon but i was so shocked to see that someone had given this laptop one star that i felt compelled to do so. I got this laptop two months ago and completely love it. Its small, weighs only 2kg and has a fantastic screen. Its great for watching movies as the picture is very sharp.
The other reviewer had a problem with the battery and i would have to say he has a point. The laptop comes with 2 batteries the larger one lasts much longer than the other but adds considerably to the weight. This isnt, however, a huge problem for me as i usually dont use my laptop on the bus or train. You would still get a couple of hours out of it anyway. I think the reason for this short battery life has more to do with Windows Vista than the laptop itself. Many people with laptops that run on vista compplain about how it drains the battery.
Another slight niggle is that the speakers arent very loud. This is due to their small size. But the sound is very sharp and clear with headphones.
It also feels great. Very good quality keyboard that doesnt feel cheap like a lot of other light laptops can.
Overall i think this is a great product and would be good for anyone who is big into watching movies or games and needs a very sharp picture. Its also good for people who want to use it on the go due to its size and weight. However, it might not be good for people who are going on extremely long train/bus journeys.

This has been the worst laptop I have ever had and have had to return it post haste. While the specs look OK, the performance was terrible. I wanted a laptop that I could use in the train to watch videos, play some games and was small. First off the laptop is deceptively heavy; the performance on battery is pitiful. So bad that you would struggle to watch a DVD full screen on battery. That does suggest that you could even see the picture in the first place. Plugging in the laptop has other problems, the power supply and network connections are on opposite sides, so if used as a tablet either way you hold it will be uncomfortable.
