I would recommend this laptop. This is just like a MacNook Pro. My only disappointment is that it runs Windows Vista which is the worst OS system in the world.
awesome September 29, 2008 Mr. A. H. Corbett 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
after researching on the internet for laptops and which one wud be the best value i came across the acer. i was at first unable to choose it becoz i ahd read alot of reviews about poor battery and cheapily made, well ive had mine for a week now and its wicked. yes its made from plastic but it isnt flimsy, its solid as a rock. this machine is fast and can handle games like cs:s and hl2 i was running cs:s practicallly everything amxed and was getting nothng below 50 and sumtimes hitting 150fps. if ur looking for a laptop that is fast and under 600 poudns this is the one for you and compared to other laptops that are similarily priced, this laptop leaves them at the start line when it comes down to speed and performance.
Highly recommended July 28, 2008 Mr. P. Courtney 22 out of 22 found this review helpful
After a lot of consideration, I chose this, the top spec 5920G over the entry level 6920G which comes in at 100 more. Although I can't vouch for the 6920G as I haven't used one, I feel happy that I have made the correct choice for me.
This 5920G has plenty of processing power with 3GB ram, an 8600GT nVidia GeForce and T7500 2.2Ghz Core 2 Duo processors should you require it. I wanted the choice to play games and do home video editing. I've so far had Doom 3 running on top graphics with no problem. Other plus points for me; it's quiet and it reliably returns 3+ hours use from a single battery charge when just browsing. Charging takes approx. 90 mins. Build quality seems fine.
My only disappointment is changing from XP to Vista. Although Vista is not bad as an OS to use, I don't like the way I feel I'm being monitored and my personal information being sent back to the OS company. But that's not the laptops fault!
If you want a blu-ray player and finger print recognition, the 6920G makes the better value choice, but if like me, you already have a PS3 and just want a no frills, high spec laptop, go for this top spec model 5920G.

I got mine for 600 this Summer and have had no problems with it in the month I've had it. It is very fast and the graphics are superb! I would reccomend this laptop to anyone who likes gaming or just wants a fast computer. I think Vista is great too, and I would reccomend Office 2007 as it is so clear.
