Not quite what you might expect of Kraftwerk, this concert uses similar instrumentation to Tone Float, glockenspiels etc. Kraftwerk haven't yet managed the transition to all electronic, at least live. Also quality-wise this recording is far from perfect. I kept looking at my record deck since there is vinyl type artifacts on it. Were they still using acetate transcription for live gigs in 75? Ah well, it's an interesting slice of history. The electromeisters growing up.

This live album focuses on the early years of the famous four, covering their Autobahn days with some pleasant surprises such as Tanzmusic from 1973's Ralf and Florian. The melodies are simple and sweet and the whole experience is conveyed with a playful display that I've only ever seen once before with Kraftwerk - when they tuned up their instruments before their Computer world show in 1981. Highly recommended to anyone who has interest in Kraftwerk, and who is looking for an insight into a band that had yet to transform into the clinical workers of their watershed album Computer world. How they got from hippie clangers to techno gods in the space of ten years, I'll never know, but this album shows the signs of their emerging kraft more than any author could write about.
