Amazon.co.uk Review Every summer since the late 1980's, the dance-music market has been flooded with hundreds of dance compilations. Sorting the wheat from the chaff can be a time-consuming and costly purpose, but as a general rule of thumb, compilations from the Ministry of Sound stables are always of a high standard and feature all the biggest tunes. Summer 2000's Clubber's Guide has a genuine summery feel about it and provides a welcome break from the glut of trance compilations that seemed to be clogging up the market, with an album full of up-tempo house anthems like David Morales' "Higher" and full-on carnival tunes like Florian F's "Surreal Brazil". With Judge Jules picking the tracks and mixing them up for your delectation, this has sure-fire hit written all over it. Now all you need is a long hot summer... --Helen Marquis

True clubbers guide December 3, 2005 T. Clarke (UK) This is what Clubber's Guides are all about! A mix of house, trance, and seriously big beats makes this a great listen during the heat of summer. It sounds very frsh - especially CD2, with songs like 'Song to the siren' and of course 'Its My Turn' by Angelic. Some reviewers claim CD is a bit of a mash - I have to disagree. Its very up-beat, and some fantastic house tunes that would get any one up to dance. While The Ibiza Annual 2000 was slightly more commercial, though still has stand tracks and great mixing, this is brighter and perfect to listen to when the suns cracking the flags!
clubbers guide to ibiza cd1 what and cd2 wow April 8, 2004 Jamie E. I. Wright 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Cd1 is short hardhouse and house which is middled up with its levels of modes of sounds.I feel cd1 was going know where i mean i like hardhouse but this hardhouse mixed with funky house for example I know you like it (Original mix) - Pascal Vegas into return of nothing doesnt work. Then some hardhouse tunes right at the start no its not right.I give up on that nothing to make want to listen to it.If you like hardhouse avoid this go get hardhouse by lisa lashes or tidy boys. But buy this cd because cd2 is trance right on uplighting and hard tunes for example like did i dream, skydive, viola. Then fast movers like die blechtromel, time to burn and not forgetting the classic taub.
Overall a great reminder of a mashed summer! September 30, 2000 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The first CD is abit if a let down, but once you get onto CD2 the tunes just dont stop. One after another, this is a must have reminder for anyone who really mashed it up in summer '00
MOS back on form September 21, 2000 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had lost faith in MOS compliations a long time ago - tired of only hearing 3 minutes of each track and generally sick of the cheesy track listings. Instead I defected to the Gloabl Underground series which is outstanding. However after seeing Jules at Homelands this year I decided to give him another chance. It was worth it. This CD is outstanding. CD 1 is a lot harder than anything I have heard on an MOS compliation and it is virtaully cheese free. Check out Ariel or Burgy. CD 2 is more what you'd expect but still well above par. Finally Judge Jules has released a compliation that reflects his stomping live sets - About time too!
A REAL Clubber's Guide August 26, 2000 nickwhitty@aol.com 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Yet again another great Clubber's guide from the seris. What I like about this is that you can expeirence a bit of Ibiza in the own home - just whack up the sound and close your eyes, the music will do the rest! This contains wounderful mixes that adds the new to the old very well. speking of the new ones I have not herad of all of them, which is good, to many of thems albums have little new song and far more older ones. When a ablum comes from MOS they are not afraid of the new.
