I've been a dance music fan since way back but have lost touch, anyway I'm on a fitness drive and need something to get me through the pain. I bought this purely based on the 5 star reviews. Don't make the same mistake, listen to the samples. I feel like I've bought a B side compilation album from the early nineties, not all of it is even mixed just phased. It may be to your taste but beware, listen to the samples!

wow, once again the defected lable does not disappoint. if you want something a wee bit different and oh so funky get this. not cheesy in the slightest way, i couldnt stop dancing when i first heard this. its brilliant, just buy it!!!

This is the way Dimitri should make his cd's. Forget that loungy laidback stuff. Funky disco house suits him much better.With a mix of pure, no-cheeze house/disco tunes this selection is bound to make you wanna make you smile. For me, this is his best release since "A night at the Playboy mansion". Whatever mood you're in, this cd should get you going good. Turn up the volume, and you can have a blast of a party...

As a huge fan of french house i bought this album on the strength of Dimitri selecting and mixing the tracks for this selection rather than the fact it's through the Defected In The House series.Whilst it is an excellent house compilation mixing the old with the new, it's certainly very much influenced by the US house sound - much more so than Dimitri's previous mix albums such as the infamous 'Night at the Playboy' and the excellent 'Dimitri's Deluxe House of Funk'. Even still, it's a damn good album.
