These albums will definitely get you up on the dance floor - or most likely your living room! A strange selection at times though and loses a star for the odd slip-up. WHY is Booker T & the MG's on this? I've been listening to a lot of modern latin music recently and there are some real gems here. There are also some heavy dance beats with a latin flavour so there should be something for everybody. As an earlier reviewer has said, it may not strictly be House, but who cares?I put a compilation of the three discs together, leaving out what I thought were the duff tracks and came up with two discs of one hour each - but that was my personal choice and you may disagree. If I had to pick just one track it has to be the remake of Santana's 'Free as the Morning Sun' by Mr Hermano. Loved it the first time around (think it was one of Carlos's solo efforts) and I'm happy to say that this band doesn't mess up. More soulful perhaps than the original and with a less intricate piano, but does miss the brilliant conga playing of the late great Armando Peraza. However, they've turned it around by replacing the silky voice of Greg Walker with a chorus of gospel vocals - and it works brilliantly. (but it ain't House!) Highly recommended.

It is a good set of urban, soulful, vocal commercial house tunes but not 100% latin. Can be disappointing if you expect the Latin House Music to get kicks out of it.

The first time I put this cd on, I was a little dubious. The first cd if fairly hard-dance & initially the latin feel does not shine through too much, but as you move on you discover some real gems on the second album that are full of summery-latin vibes that make you get up and go for it round the front room. The third cd is mixed well and complements the other two favourably.
This truly is a mixed bag of diverse styles in the same genre, but you do have to be in an up-beat kind of mood to want to listen to it.
