An oldie but goody June 10, 2000 Joti Plahay (Swinton, Manchester) 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
Had anyone recommended me to buy a House Compilation album from the late eighties, I would think that they had been under a rock for 10 years. Though good in their time, many tunes from that era sound "played out" and dated these days. So, why did I buy this album? Simple. If the "Joey Negro" name is on it, you know it's going to be a stonker, and this one is no exception - the cream of early house/garage music. Incredibly most of the tracks still sound fresh today. Buy it, and give your stereo a good workout.
A fabulous return to when House music was just emerging. May 5, 2000 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
At the time who'd have known the influence this music was going to have. For all those who cut their clubbing/House teeth on the music from 89-91 this is one of the best reflections of that period. Lazy, summer days with classic tracks. Joey Negro (Dave Lee) has always pulled them out of the hat and this compliation is no exception. As each track kicks in you will find a wry smile of reminiscence crossing your face. This years 'summer' album.
