Ion L follows on the footsteps of its little big-brother Ion. Ion L is slightly bigger being based on5.25 Nomex woofer. The slightly bigger size also gives subjectively much bigger performance,even if the difference measured 50 for Ion L versus 55 Hz the Ion is not that substantial.Ion L has the normal Amphion virtues, such as pin-point imaging, coherent seamless integration of the drivers due the low crossover point of 1600 Hz. Timing behaviour is far more precise than inconventional speakers due to correctly positioned voice coils.The most interesting aspect of Ion L is the newly developed tweeter, which is based on the sameproven 25 mm titanium dome, but has a totally new high quality magnet structure.
