Quality Product November 25, 2008 Wally Jones 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Pros (1). Excellent Radio in DAB and FM mode. Very receptive in my weak signal area. (2). Sound reproduction very good for small loudspeaker. (3). Easy to set up. (4). Style and size make it convenient for small bedside table. (5). Alarm programs very useful. (6.00 am weekdays, 7.00 am Weekends!). (6). Useful listed features such as usb upgrades, low power use etc..
Cons Visibility at night is poor and effect of light sensor control of brightness cannot be over-ridden. However, that may be my poor eyesight!
Generally, a quality radio. Recommended.
Cracking DAB Clock Radio - Shame about the display November 16, 2008 Tomster (Edinburgh) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I could not get a reception after 3 years with my old Sony, so decided to upgrade to a DAB alarm clock radio. I Spent a lot of time reviewing a lot of different models, and finally decided on the Pure VL-60872 White DAB Digital Clock and Radio. I have had the radio for about 3 months and the sound is superb, crystal clear, and I have no trouble getting a reception. My only gripe (and I would be delighted if someone has found a solution)is that the display is not very bright during the night when you wake up and I find myself virtually on top of it trying to read the display (nothing to do with age or vision I may add). This minor point apart,I would recommend it to anyone looking to spend around 50 (I paid 45 for mine om Amazon. You will not be disappointed.
Unable to see the screen at night. October 18, 2008 Mrs. D. Thompsett (England) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I had to return this clock radio as I was unable to see the screen at night and sometimes impossible to see during the day. The radio part was fine but I think there is a design fault with the screen and you should be able to adjust the light to suit.
Excellent no hassle clock radio October 2, 2008 Boris (London UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I've had this for a few weeks now and I have to say my mornings are greatly improved now that I'm woken by the radio rather than a horrible ringing. The set up was *really easy! I'm *not a gadget person and hate instructions, so getting this up and running was really impressively quick and simple. I love how once you set it you don't have to worry about setting it again - it doesn't ring on weekends when you have the weekday setting on. And I *really love how you awaken to the last station you were listening to - so you can change that up without touching the overall settings. The other great feature is how the digital display dims down according to how dark it is - so no glaring glow while you sleep. All in all - a brilliant little machine. The only slight downside is that the plastic casing is a bit retro - it would be nice if they had these triangular radios in the nice wood effect....
what they all talking about the display? September 30, 2008 sure start 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I dont understand why people are complaining about not seeing the display properly! I can see it perfectly in compllete darkness-think they must need the opticians!
Outstanding piece of kit and well worth the price (and more) the intellitext is particularly useful on it. Well done to pure for doing it again!!
