a solid radio, worthy of the Marshall logo October 1, 2008

This is my 1st DAB radio purchase, being a "metal head", the moment I saw the marshall logo (and the pos reviews here), I knew this was the one. The sound is great, it almost has that "Marshall tone" (guitarists will know what i am talking about) the sound is nice and thick, not "tinny" like some small speaker units. It will go really loud (like, 11 loud), so if you work in a small office or in a mechanics garage it will cover it all.
Its mega easy to set up, the instructions were frighteningly short, but this is due to everything being setup for you already, so the manual is really there if you wish to change display settings etc. Solid build quality, great sound, worth every penny.

For such a small radio,as for some reason i thought it was bigger,dont know why? its sound and volume are fantastic and so easy to use!plus its a little different from the rest,its definitley worth its money!!

The sound quality on this product is excellent, it's incredible the quality this little unit provides and by adding the additional speaker the quality just gets better! Definately worth every penny, so good i even bought a second one for the bedroom, brilliant design and very street cred!!

Just got one of these for a christmas present for a friend and tried it out to check it was ok before gift wrapping. I was amazed at the ease of use, the sound quality and the overall build quality. It looks as wicked as vlad the impaler with a hangover and sounds like a live concert, well pretty close. This radio is the dogs. It tuned itself in immediately and ive just bought another one for the christmas present and kept this one for myself.

This is the Pure Evoke 1 so remember no stereo unless you buy the additional speaker. I play mine through my hi-fi system the required outputs are on the back. The Evoke 1 is a excellent radio and now it has the great looks to go with the sound. Black and gold with the famous Marshall logo on the front and the display is red. Planet Rock occupies number 1 preset button which suits me just fine, it cannot be changed. If you are into rock then get this one and if you remember Spinal Tap then yes the Volume control really does go to 11.
