It's very easy to fall in to the trap of saying a label has had it's day or it's not as good as when so and so was in control but ultimately any compilation needs to be judged individually on it's own merits. For me this is a good comp. Lots of interesting tunes by artists and producers who for me still get the feet tapping. There's a reasonably laidback vibe with the odd tune upping the tempo from time to time but the thing I like best is that every track has a different pace, tinged with different styles - house,electro,latin,soul and elements of r&b. Yep, it's official... I like it.

I didn't think much of this album at all.
I know it positions itself as pop \ nucool etc but anyone who looks out for the Hed Kandi label for good reliable tunes will be disappointed in this installment.

Disappointed at first with HK changing from nu cool to lounge, however it is similar to nucool07, really nice gems on this. Surprisingly there was only two songs on the cd's which I already owned, I think that that was the point !! Still digesting but so far really pleased! Bring on Beach House 08 !!!
