I've been a fan of Hed Kandi and Nu Cool series since the first in the late 90's . What's best about this series is the diversity, from house dance to chill/R& B. I was suprised that on Mark Doyles departure , the new Kandi team brought out what I saw as one of Kandi's best album's last Year Nu cool 2006 .For the 2007 Nu Cool I've played it again and again but "NO" it's got none of the Kani magic.I found it a jagged inconsistant mess. Disc 1's highlite and highlite of the bunch is Japan's Jazztronics latin scratcher superb!, this is joined by half baked electro and some interesting disco. Soulstars are not a bad groove. Disc 2 which is allways the downtempoe chilled side of Nu Cool only's interest was Stockholm Cyclo , Jose Gonzalez One Self.All in all I find it hard to see that this album could receive such reviews , when I find it no where up to the quality of Nu Cool 2006.

Music makes my day and when I want to get totally eclipsed by it I just choose any sonic sphere of that famous Hed Kandi collection...only superb!!!This collection: Nu Cool- Lounge Grooves & Sassy Beats From Hed Kandi takes me to an endless voyage of supreme delight for cool dancing. Dance music will never die because it`s the soul of any party,club,discotheque,rave...this 21st century will compiled all the dance sounds from the beginning of its proper history and beyond. When you want to be sonically satisfied just buy this record.

This album is by far the best Hed Kandi have produced in the last couple of years.
This cd has so much diversity which makes it one of the easiest cd's i have in my collection to enjoy whilst doing anything!!
Cd 1 gets off strong with Bugz In The Attic, followed by Basement Jaxx, but the real gems on this cd come later on with the likes of Jazztronik and Lifelike and a belter of a tune from Cicada called "Electric Blue". This is going to be one of the tunes this year. I'm sure!!!
Cd 2 is in my opinion even better with tracks from One Self through to Sweet Coffee, all of these songs are massive and will all be played throughout the entire year at parties and when i'm chilling out at home.
If you want a Hed Kandi album to remember, this is it!!
I cannot say enough good things about this album. Trust me, get it - You won't regret parting with just 12.99. A bargain and a half if you ask me!!

What a great CD! I prefer disc 1 to disc 2 though. Disc 2 is a great variation and collection of music from my normal preference but I enjoyed the more laid back approach. Disc 1 on the other hand has the real massive chart tracks at the moment and the CD is filled with absolutely outstanding productions from the hottest producers out.
Overall I love this compilation and would recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Well done on a great release Hed Kandi.
