Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.co.uk Review
For the third instalment of their ever-popular trance compilation series, Ministry of Sound stick to the old adage --"If it ain't broke, don't fix it". So, once more they have trance-meister Ferry Corsten (AKA System F) at the helm, setting the controls for the heart of the dance floor and putting his foot to the floor on the smoke machine and the strobe lights. As with the previous two volumes it's packed with floor fillers from start to finish, including chart-toppers from Chicane and Fragma, as well as instant classics from the likes of Onephatdeeva and Azzido Da Bass. In the privacy of your own home, it's never going to be as good as blasting out of the PA in the midst of a hot sweaty loved-up crowd, but it's perfect fare for getting ready for a big night out. There are a few duff tracks in there--the much overrated Flickman's "Sound of Bamboo" for one, but if it's huge throbbing trance tunes you're after, then your quest is at an end. --Helen Marquis

5 out of 5 stars it's all good, even after all this time!   July 4, 2003

i didn't buy this album when it first came out, and haven't listened to it for ages. so i decided to wipe off the dust and listen to it once more. best decision i ever made. after three years this album is still the most superb trance nation. it has some great uplifting trance tunes from 99/00 and amongst them is matt darey's beautiful, which was released (again?) last year. which i absolutely love.
it also has fragma's toca me which is such a chilled out summery tune. on top of that is ATB's killer which is just amazing, and better still it has ralph fridge's angel which is totally gorgeous.
this album is THE best thing ministry of sound have ever done, this is helped by the fact that the box is bright pink with a purple outer box cos they're really nice colours.
after 3 years of it's existence it still sounds spectacular, i think that anyone who loves trance would love this, and if you didn't already have it then you should get it. it's the best installment in the trance nation series, and is still unrivalled by any other.

5 out of 5 stars Well worth it!   August 24, 2000

I picked up this album just out of curiosity. I was in London for the first time and what better music to look for than techno/trance since it's club music of 99/00 and the popularity of the ministry. It includes a number of popular hits which is certainly well worth it for a beginning Trance kid like me (BTW, The Cure is still the best!). Check out Ralph Fridge--Angel (an ethereal sound?)and Amethyst--Futura 2000 and maybe you'll get carried away. When I got back to the USA, all my buds kept asking me to lend it to them...So buy it now if you haven't!

5 out of 5 stars Trance Nation 3 the ultimate choice for trance listener   August 22, 2000

ministry of sound keep giving us these amazing cds. This cd is a must buy, the whole europhoria from these tunes blasting out of your sterio is second only to being in a club. The first cd is ace with the dance floor hits like Beautiful and sexual but the second cd is the beast. This cd has sasha, moby, UKW, X-Cabs - the list goes on, these are the artists that keep trance alive and the people on the dance floors, this cd is a must for all people who appreciate the club scene across the uk

5 out of 5 stars THE BEST TRANCE COMPILATION SO FAR!   July 20, 2000
This is without any doubt the best Trance compilation CD I've heard. With top tunes like DEADLINE, I CAN HEAR YOU CALLING, the mixing is superb by the DJ of the moment Ferry Corsten. It's a hard choice between this and Pure Euphoria but this is better mainly because the mixing is better. But I've bought both anyway!
