5 out of 5 stars Piek time house   May 31, 2008

It's funny how people who like the likes of Digweed, sasha, Warren and Seaman stay loyal to GU and Renaissance. How people who like the likes of Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing or the Space Djz would never go down the route of people like Eric Morillo, Kerri Chandler or Harry Romero. And the people who listen to Subliminal stick with Subliminal with maybe a detour to Defected or Hed Kandi.

And yet, here we have a comp. that includes the likes of Dave Clarke and a remix of Robert Armani's Ambulance. Here we have an album, as so many others at the Subliminal Sessions, that cannot be denied.

What if you are at a party that starts of with something like Digweed's MMII or Sasha&Digweed's Northern Exposure to warm up the crowd. Than it slowly moves over into something like Lee Burridge's 24/7 to be taken over by this absolute piek time primer that is Benny Benassi's Subliminal Session 6 to lay the groundworks for the likes of Saeed & Palash or Steve Lawler's Lights Out around 3 maybe 4 o'clock. And yes, after, in the early hours of the morning we get a life set of Speedy J or Hertz to be concluded with a deejay set of Adam Beyer...

Now that would be the day!!!!

Well what can I say, I picked up this cd from the reception at the hotel I was staying in whilst on holiday in Ibiza, and it really encaptured the euphoria of the moment. Me and my mates often used cd1 to warm up for a big night out clubbing. CD1 is more easy-listening but a very varied mix, some tracks soulful, some more drumbeat-oriented and others more electro-based but all in all a good dose of house.

CD2 is all about big electro baselines and loops, and is therefore a slightly harder listen, but all is all good as benassi has picked a good selection of tracks which don't incite you to start skipping, which ofcourse is good.

If you like soulful funky house you'll like some of the stuff on this, likewise, if you prefer you're more late night hard hittin stuff, you'll like this cd. I'd recommend it to any fan of house

Standout tracks, look out for Buddha Soul Project, Dave Clarke, Francesco Farfa, Harry Romero and Who Da Funk, just some to mention

Top stuff any album with a Dave Clarke tune is going to be good and, although, the beats are tough this also very listenable as well, (with out any stimulants). Top notch Mix!
Great stuff!
