Utterly appaling. It's difficult to overstate how bad this is: first the track selection. Cheesy synth strings, terrible female vocals and lyrics, utterly predictable chord structures and break downs..... There is nothing on this compilation that is any different from trance released in 2001
The production is decent but workmanlike from someone who is meant to be the number 1 DJ in the world?
It's such a shame that Armin has gone down this populist route as he does have some talent, but this CD is complete dross. If you are a fan of Eurodisco/ pop music you might like this CD. Otherwise save your money.

I heard this for the first time the other day and was quite diappointed. I remember one of my favourite club nights was armin at turnmills doing an 8 hour set of non stop trance; It was amazing. I don't know what the deal is with this lame mediocre style trance that so many love. It is a shame... i guess he sold out. I don't know. I know he doesn't sound like this in a club. I wouldn't buy this. If you want good commercial trance d.j. i would go for paul van dyk. His more recent album is much better than this. Also try i am now listening to vibrasphere recent album; is on a different plane to this nonsense.

Having i mind the "Burned with Desire" wich is one of my top ever songs, and i was hoping for something equal or close in quality. But no, there are some nice songs there 2-3 but nothing more. The second cd is only for the Club (to much for me). The cd was a bit of disapoitment for me.

This CD should come with a health warning! It has sounds to take your breath, heartbeat and soul to the next dimension. Great CD from one of the best DJ's.

I would say Im a true trance fan. I buy the music and go to the clubs. Firstly Armin is the best trance dj. His ASOT radio shows are spot on and he is, quite frankly, unbelievable in a club.
However, this CD is a let down. I have all previous releases and usually they are spot on 06 and 04 are the best from the a state of trance series. On 07, the selection of tunes is pretty poor compared to what he has played on his radio shows. I was very surprised some of them made it onto the CD, considering how good ASOT 300 Live was, played at the time of this albums released.
This is not as good Anjunabeats Vol 5 or any of the new Live As albums.
You need to buy this if you follow Armin, but prepare to be let down.
